No. Searching the directory and submitting a legal requirement are free, and LawMitran takes no commission on whatever you later agree with an advocate. Advocates pay a subscription to receive requirements; you pay nothing to send one.

The profile has been reviewed and approved by the LawMitran team before appearing here — only approved profiles are listed. As part of that review, advocates provide their Bar Council enrolment details and upload their enrolment certificate. Other details, such as experience, languages and courts, are provided by the advocate. Approval is not an assessment of skill, and it is not a recommendation.

You describe your situation once, either to a specific advocate you picked or as a general requirement. A general requirement is assigned to an available, approved advocate in or near your area. That advocate can then contact you directly, and you take it from there with them. There is no booking or scheduling step on LawMitran.

Look for someone who handles your kind of matter routinely, practises in the court your case would go to, and speaks a language you are comfortable in. Ask what they think the realistic timeline and total cost are, and how they will keep you updated. Be wary of anyone who promises a particular outcome — no advocate can honestly guarantee one.
