A format is the accepted structure and wording for a type of document — the parties, recitals, clauses and signature blocks it normally contains. A template is that format with blanks for your details. Here the blanks are filled from your answers to a guided form instead of you editing a blank file.

People handling routine, standard-format paperwork themselves — a landlord drawing up a rental agreement, someone sending a legal notice, a freelancer needing an NDA, a family completing an affidavit. If your situation is disputed, unusual, or involves large sums, you want an advocate drafting for you rather than a template.

Typically the full names and addresses of everyone involved, identification details, the dates and amounts that apply, and any property or asset details. Each document page lists what it asks for, and you can leave and come back without losing your answers.

A document is not valid simply because it was generated here. These templates follow standard formats, but validity depends on the wording suiting your actual facts, correct execution and witnessing, the right stamp duty for your state, and registration where the law requires it. For anything high-value or contested, have an advocate review it before you sign.

Stamp duty and registration charges are statutory amounts set by your state and payable to the government. LawMitran does not add a margin to them and does not keep them. Where a document needs stamping, its page says so before you begin.

It depends on your state. Many states accept e-stamping, some still use physical non-judicial stamp paper for certain documents, and the value payable differs by state and document. Each document page notes whether stamping applies; confirm the current method and value for your state before you execute the document.

Some documents must be registered with the sub-registrar to be effective — typically ones that create or transfer rights in immovable property, and longer-term leases. Whether registration applies depends on the document, its terms and your state. The document pages say when registration usually applies; for property documents, an advocate can confirm what your case needs.

Affidavits and some declarations have to be sworn or attested before a notary or oath commissioner to be accepted. LawMitran prepares the document; the notarisation itself is done in person. Each document page says when notarisation is normally required.

Before the document is delivered to you, yes. Once it has been generated and made available, the purchase is final — though if the document does not match the answers you gave, or a technical fault produced a broken file, we will fix or refund it.
